Validity of Test
Origins of the Test
The original Heidelberg pH capsule was developed by Professor H. G. Noller at the University of Heidelberg, Germany in 1964. Dr. Noller was credited with one of the first clinical studies that involved 10,000 adult patients, over a 3 year interval. His subsequent studies, on thousands of patients, proved that many disorders originated from the unbalanced pH in the digestive tract.
Since that time, many distinguished Clinicians in Medical Teaching Colleges and research facilities, throughout the world have performed with over 150 published clinical studies. Many of these studies relate to disorders that can be directly traced to the unbalanced condition in the human digestive process.
Over the past 49-years there have been over 1 million Heidelberg pH Diagnostic Tests performed by Private Clinics, Medical Universities, Hospitals, Researchers and Pharmaceutical Companies. The Heidelberg pH diagnostic test is one of the most technically advanced pH diagnostic systems available.
The Capsule

Length - About 21 mm or 4/5 in
Non-Radioactive
Powered by Physiologic Battery & Saline
Radio-Band Frequencies
No Painful Attachment Needed
Non Traumatic Testing Procedure
The Heidelberg pH Capsule measures about 8 mm diameter x about 21 mm Length. It is encapsulated within a sealed polyacrylate (plastic) capsule, similar to the plastic used in cardiac pacemakers.
The pH Capsule is NOT RADIOACTIVE (radiation is not used in the testing process either). It is a high-frequency micro-electronic transmitter, designed specifically for intragastric (in stomach) and intraesophageal (in esophagus) monitoring.
The power source for the pH Capsule, is a physiologic battery, which operates off approximately one grain of salt solution derived from normal 0.9% physiologic saline.
When the pH Capsule is immersed in the normal 0.9% saline, it will absorb saline into its battery compartment.
The saline acts as the electrolyte for the battery operation, and promotes the transfer of electrons, to power the capsule, this flow of electrons will power the pH Capsule for many hours.
