We schedule your 30 minute phone consult with Dr. Erdman, our Heidelberg expert, who will review the intake forms with you.
Please note: All digestive & non-digestive conditions, as well as complete medical, surgical, medication and supplement histories must be fully disclosed in the intake forms, we keep this information strictly confidential.
We like to be extremely thorough. During the 30 minute phone consult with our Heidelberg expert, we will request that you stop taking any medications that could possibly affect the test results.
You will need to contact your personal physician to ask if you can safely stop taking your medication for a short time leading up to the test.
Certain medications, like Proton Pump inhibitors (PPIs or acid reducing medications), antibiotics, and antihistamines have a repository affect (retained in the cell structure of the body) if taken for a long time.
The quantity and length of time you have taken these medications will determine how long you must stop taking them. This includes over the counter medications like Tums, Rolaids, Pepto-Bismol, etc. so please be sure to submit every medication and supplement that you are taking, in the intake forms ahead of this call.
